about
*Proceeds from the sale of the song go to Translator Audio and The South Sound.*
"Molasses" is based on the "Great Molasses Flood" - a real event where a massive tidal wave of molasses destroyed a large area of Boston's North End in 1919.
Andrew Schneider from Translator Audio has made some of our favorite records, recorded our first 7" and mixed The Sun Exploding, and shares our love for the bizarre story of the Molasses Flood. His studio, Translator Audio and The South Sound rehearsal studios, were tragically destroyed in Hurricane Sandy. They're starting over, and we're releasing "Molasses" as a fundraiser for the rebuild.
